Zurich Insurance has extended an IT application outsourcing contract with CSC, which could lead to the relationship spanning 19 years.
A seven-year extension to a deal originally penned in 2004, which will start in 2013, also has the option for an additional three years.
CSC will manage application maintenance and development services in Switzerland, Canada, Germany, Italy, the UK and the US for the insurance company.
No contract value was announced.
In 2004, Zurich Financial Services signed an IT outsourcing deal with CSC worth an estimated pound 700m.
It sought pound 160m savings during the seven-year deal with CSC, which took on the development of new IT applications and support for existing applications in the UK, US, Switzerland and Germany.
About 1,600 Zurich IT staff transferred to CSC at the time.
