NetEase Inc. (Nasdaq: NTES) has become an exclusive partner for flights of Air China Limited (SHSE: 601111 and SEHK: 0753) offering on-board Internet surfing service through air-ground satellite systems so that passengers could browse news websites and use email boxes when traveling by air.
The air-ground interconnecting service connects passengers with the Internet through wireless WLAN on board so that they could communicate with outer world through online applications of the Internet platform equipped to the aircrafts. Thus, Air China has become the first Chinese airway to be able to offer on-board satellite communication service.
The flights with air-ground Internet service will be soon put into operation, when passengers will enjoy online surfing high up in the sky.
