Property and casualty insurance provider American International Group (AIG) has named Kevin Hogan as new CEO of AIG Global Consumer Insurance, effective October 2013.
Hogan, who earlier served the company for 24 years, will report to Peter Hancock, CEO of AIG Property Casualty (PC). He will become a member of the AIG Executive Group.
Most recently, Hogan was CEO of Global Life, Zurich Insurance Group, and was a member of the Zurich executive committee.
In December 2008, he joined Zurich as CEO of Global Life Americas and later became CEO of Global Life in July 2010.
AIG president and CEO Robert Benmosche said that the company's global PC consumer and life businesses will prosper under Kevin's strong leadership.
"Putting the manufacturing of these critical products under the same oversight is an important step in our work to become truly one AIG," Benmosche added.
AIG also said that its global life insurance manufacturing will now operate as part of AIG Global Consumer Insurance.
