The US toy industry has already seen its best year in over a decade thanks to the popularity of the Star wars franchise following the release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens last December.
Now, with Rogue One: A Star Wars Story already causing a stir among fans following the big toy line unveiling early on September 2nd, the industry is expecting sales to be just as strong.

The New York Post reports that alongside Star Wars, the toy industry is anticipating a boost from other breakout tiles such as DreamWorks Animation’s Trolls and Disney’s Moana.
The Star Wars and Disney Princess franchises have already featured in US retailer Walmart’s top 25 toy picks for Christmas 2016, alongside other leading children’s entertainment properties including Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Doc McStuffins and Barbie.
