Methanol Prices Went up Slightly in The Week Ending Feb 2

In China, Methanol prices went up slightly in the week ending February 2, due to tight availability in the region. Prices were spotted at US$ 365/ton CFR China.  

In Korea, Methanol prices were steady. Market analysts spotted Methanol prices in the range of US$ 370-375/ton FOB Korea.  

In Japan, Methanol prices showed similar trend as Korea. Prices were quoted in the range of US$ 370-375/ton CFR Japan.  

In India, Methanol prices surged up due to robust downstream demand and were marked at US$ 350-355/ton CFR India.  

In S.E. Asia, Methanol prices increased slightly and were assessed at US$ 375-380/ton CFR S.E. Asia.  

Asian contract prices posted by Methanex for Asia-Pacific region were at US$ 435/ton. Prices are valid for the month of February.
