Global adhesives manufacturer HB Fuller has introduced new hot melt adhesive, Advantra Encore 4000 for case and carton sealing.
The new adhesive allows combination of low density and bonding to offer better mileage compared to metallocene-based or ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA) hot melt adhesives.
According to the company, the hot melt uses 20% to 30% less adhesive than metallocene-based packaging and 40% to 50% less adhesive compared to EVA.
HB Fuller North America End of Line Packaging business director Peter Petrulo said the company intends to continuously develop next generation adhesives that meet customers' business needs.
"Advantra Encore 4000 provides more options for case and carton sealing, and it sets a new standard of performance for our packaging customers," Petrulo added.
Advantra Encore 4000 adhesive has been designed for bonding on various substrates including coated stocks and recycled-content board. It is said to perform bonding in the temperatures ranging from -40°F to 160° F.
