Romaco technologies will showcase its new Macofar LF 200 ST sterile liquid filler and Noack 960 Blister System at the P-MEC in Mumbai, India, which will be held between 3 to 5 December 2013.
Macofar LF 200 ST will be used to fill sterile pharmaceutical liquids into vials and is expected to offer better product safety.
The new sterile liquid filler can process injection vials and infusion bottles with a range of filling volumes from 0.5 to 500ml and can achieve maximum filling speed of 12,000 vials, an hour, with volumes of up to 5ml.
According to the company, Macofar satisfies the cGMP requirements for processing sterile, parenteral, pharmaceutical liquids.
Macofar's balcony structure will separate the white or cleanroom and grey or technical areas.
The critical area, which will pass through by the open vials is narrow and compact, and is expected to offer a better sterility assurance levels (SAL).
A vertical laminar flow in the sterile filler will prevent turbulent air movements in the vicinity of the open vials and stops to develop particles and microorganisms, while bottom-up filling process includes eight servo-driven rotary piston pumps.
To obtain a complete liquid filling line, the sterile filler can be hooked up to an upstream sterile washing machine, a depyrogenation tunnel and a downstream Promatic cartoner.
Noack 960 Blister System, which includes rotary or platen sealing, will be used to pack tablets, soft or hard gelatine capsules and caplets in different sizes and shapes.
The system is installed with interchangeable QuickFeed unit, which is expected to change shape of products in less than 30 minutes.
Blister System, which includes servo technology, will pack around 700 blisters and 400 cartons per minute.
