Finnish diabetes technology company Mendor has entered into partnership with Europe-based diagnostics company A. Menarini Diagnostics for distribution of its blood glucose monitoring system.
Under the terms of the agreement, Mendor's all-in-one blood glucose monitoring system will be distributed to nine new European markets in the first stage.
Used for daily blood glucose measurements, the all-in-one blood glucose monitoring system contains a meter, 25 strips and a lancing device that is integrated with the size of a mobile phone.
The device, which will be launched under the name of GlucoMen READY, is designed to regularly test the blood glucose levels of the diabetic patients.
Mendor's partnership complements its previous distribution agreements with Merck Serono in the UK, Mediq in the Baltics, and continues the existing partnership with A. Menarini Diagnostics Nordics in Sweden.

A. Menarini Diagnostics general manager Crescenzio Izzo said, "This all-in-one system shall go towards completing our current Home Glucose testing product portfolio and allow us to offer diabetic patients a meter which is not only an attractive in design but also clinically proven, high quality and, above all, discreet."
