Tilit Chef Goods has launched their first lookbook highlighting the newest workwear they have created since their November '12 launch. Tilit was started by veteran chef Alex McCrery, who has worked in restaurants over the past 17 years and most recently was private chef to Jerry Seinfeld's family in NYC. The clothes have all been designed by Alex based on his experience as a chef and insight from his colleagues and chef community.
Tilit Chef Goods now has eight different aprons, including five Stalwart Aprons made from washable waxed cotton and three uTILITy Aprons made from 100% cotton designer fabrics. Other new releases include chef workshirts in Japanese denim polka dot and blue oxford to compliment the white oxford and grey chambray that have been offered since the opening.
Two new Bike 2 Work hats have been designed in collaboration with San Francisco's Walz Co. including a waxed cotton combo and polka dot denim. 5-Panel caps made in the USA will be available towards the end of the summer. New handmade tools and accessories round out the line of street wear inspired chef clothing including handcrafted solid block cutting boards by Maxoon and more great hand carved wooden spoons by Chris Han, both Brooklyn makers.
Tilit Chef Goods has also found itself in the news. Food & Wine Magazine listed the Stalwart Aprons in their editor's picks of the June 2013 issue, referring to them as "the Barbour coats of grilling season." Food Republic and Gear Hungry have also featured the brand for its unique new take on chef wear.
