Government Employees Insurance Company (GEICO) has launched a new mobile web application called GEICO Mobile Cycle to help customers purchase a policy from their smartphones.
By using GEICO Mobile Cycle, the riders can now obtain an ATV or motorcycle quote, and buy a policy directly from their smartphones at any time.
GEICO programming analysis director David Weaver said: "GEICO Mobile Cycle adds the convenience of purchasing cycle insurance on your smartphone whenever you want."
The newly launched application is capable of operation on any smartphone device with a browser, but has been optimized for iPhone, Android and Windows Phone 7 platforms.
GEICO Powersports sales and service director Thomas Garner said advancements in the field of mobile technology have provided the companies with opportunities to stay engaged with their customers.
"Data shows that consumers are confident using their mobile devices to research products and services as well as make purchases online," Garner added.
GEICO was the first insurance company to offer online buying power to iPhone and Android smartphone users in 2010.
