US-based Rehrig Pacific, a manufacturer of reusable transport packaging systems, and Intelleflex, a provider of on-demand data visibility for cold chain asset management, have announced a strategic solution partnership, in a bid to improve the quality and traceability of temperature-sensitive products in the cold supply chain.
The partnership will create intelligent reusable transport packaging solutions which enable pharmaceutical and food manufacturers, shippers, and retailers to improve cold chain operations management, according to Rehrig Pacific.
Rehrig Pacific supply chain technology solutions national sales manager Kaley Parkinson said the temperature-sensitive pharmaceuticals and food manufacturers require intelligent cold chain management systems for safety and profitability.
"Partnering with Intelleflex on intelligent transport packaging solutions and ZEST Data Services will provide measurable value and logistical benefits to cold chain operations," Parkinson said.
The technology will deliver on-demand data visibility for tracking and monitoring of the temperature, condition of temperature-sensitive products, such as pharmaceuticals and fresh, frozen packaged foods.
Products can be monitored and managed on-demand through the cold chain without unloading of pallets/opening of containers, and also addresses government and industry regulations for traceability, safety and quality.
Rehrig currently provides sustainable reusable transport packaging and supply chain solutions.
