Ghostly gatherings and Halloween hangouts more popular than ever, with 68 per cent of UK families celebrating the event this year.
Halloween looks to be more popular than ever, with 68 per cent of UK families celebrating the event this year, according to research from Mintel.
The firm is forecasting this year’s spook season to boost retail sales by £240 million, with four out of ten Halloween shoppers intending to buy more ghoulish gifts, tricks and treats this year than last.
Last year, one in seven adults bought fancy dress items, and with more people getting behind this year’s fright fest, Mintel is expecting to see sales rise across the board.
And to celebrate, the research company Mintel along with IGD has put together a ghostly infographic, featuring the latest spooky stats on shopping habits this Halloween.
