“With 25 years of experience in the gift industry and a passion for art and craft products, Cuckoo is the most natural and perfect fit for Skinny Sketcher,” said founder and director Gillian Logan.
Skinny Sketcher has appointed Cuckoo Toys as the UK distributor for its Skinny Sketcher step-by-step drawing kits.
Cuckoo debuted the Skinny Sketcher range at Harrogate Home & Gift Fair over the weekend. The kits will also be showcased by Cuckoo at Autumn Fair in September.
“With 25 years of experience in the gift industry and a passion for art and craft products, Cuckoo is the most natural and perfect fit for Skinny Sketcher,” said founder and director Gillian Logan.
“The company has an extensive network of independent toy and gift retailers throughout the UK and I know they’ll do a great job of building the Skinny Sketcher brand. Bringing them on board to take over the growing sales and distribution of the kits means I can now focus on product development, including our new Colour Up Cups range.”
Cuckoo Toys’ Tony Eves added: “We are very excited to have been chosen by Gillian at Skinny Sketcher to distribute her fantastic product and we are looking forward to working with Gillian on developing the range in which we see endless potential.”
The Skinny Sketcher concept was invented by architect and mum of two Gillian Logan after she was asked to present a show-and-tell about architecture at her son’s school.
She first pitched her idea to the toy industry at ToyNews' very first Inventors Workshop in 2014 and, following its success, she returned to the event last year as a speaker. Logan is planning to attend again in September to provide mentoring to other new toy designers.
Skinny Sketcher is available on Amazon and is also available to buy through a number of independent toy and gift retailers, museums and gallery shops, including The Sage in Gateshead and the Henry Moore Foundation’s new flagship visitor centre.
