The data shows by China Custom statistics that China metalworking machine tools import reached 8219 units on Auguest of 2013, and import value reached $ 950 million. And China metalworking machine tools import reached 53,739 units total of eight monthes in 2013, which dropped 25.3% compared with the same period of 2012,import value reached $ 7.07 billion,which dropped 21.8%. From the beginning of the end of 2012, metal processing machine tool import volume kept continuous decreasing, but import cost was continued to improve .This trend still exist in 2013, import volume dropped at the first eight months, and the price has increased by 4.6%. But the situation has been changed in July and August with imports increasing and import unit cost dropping.
