Loloi Rugs Has Partnered with Dallas Area Habitat to Uplift an Entire Community

Proceeds From Sales of New Loloi Collection to Benefit Habitat

This rug in an Emerald color is part of Loloi’s new Wonder Charity Collection.DALLAS - A rug can elevate the mood in a room, but Loloi Rugs says it has partnered with Dallas Area Habitat for Humanity to uplift an entire community.

The Dallas-based rug vendor is donating a percentage of all proceeds from its new Wonder collection to the organization, whose mission is to "build homes, communities and hope."

Each rug in the Wonder collection is hand-woven in India of cotton, creating what the company said is an exceedingly tactile rug with ample cushion. Rugs from the Wonder collection are available in eight color combinations - Hibiscus, Denim, Raven, Pebble, Maize, Foliage, Sand and Emerald - and four sizes, ranging from 2.3 feet by 3.9 feet to 7.6 feet by 9.6 feet.

"Whether it's through design or by a donation, Loloi Rugs is committed to improving our communities in any way we can," said Cyrus Loloi, principal of Loloi Rugs. "Habitat for Humanity shares our vision of a better world, and we are thrilled to be able to partner with them to bring affordable homes to deserving and hardworking members of our community."

"We are thankful to partners like Loloi who support our efforts to revitalize and stabilize entire communities by giving hardworking low-income families a quality place to call home," said Bill Hall, CEO of Dallas Area Habitat for Humanity. "We like to think that their generosity and our support provide a hand up to deserving families who dream of owning and decorating their own homes."

The Dallas Area Habitat for Humanity provides qualified families quality homes at zero percent interest mortgages. The families served by the organization typically spend unsustainable levels of income on housing and often live in dangerous and substandard conditions. In lieu of a down payment, homeowners are required to contribute "sweat equity" by helping to build their own homes and those of their neighbors.

"Knowing that our rugs are serving a deeper purpose than simply beautifying a home is gratifying," said Loloi. "We hope our consumers will enjoy the dual benefits that come from owning one of these hand-crafted pieces, too."
