The sleeping aid picks up BANTA Award despite only being unveiled early last week
SweetDreamers is celebrating a surprise result that saw its new sleeping aid, Russell the Dream Sheepdog, named Best in Show in the 2014 BANTA Awards.
The product was crowned the winner in the Sleep Accessories category, despite only being unveiled to the industry last week.
Established to recognise 'outstanding products,' the BANTA Awards praised Russell the Dream Sheepdog for its changing colour therapy light show and personalised recording facility.
"We are just overwhelmed with the early excitement surrounding Russell," said Lynda Harding, founder of Sweetdreamers.
"The interest we experienced at this year's show was fantastic and we were just non-stop."
Harding explained that Russell's presence at the show caused excitement among both retailers and industry leaders.
"We couldn't have hoped for a better start, winning this award is just the icing on the cake and we now can't wait to reveal Russell to the world so sweet dreams can continue for as long as little ones need."
