It’s reported that China Steel Corp (CSC), the largest carbon steelmaker in Taiwan is going to release its list prices for steel bar and wire products for September.
Industry sources predicted that CSC might remain its list prices for steel bar and wire products unchanged for September due to flat demand, rising raw material prices and increasing steel prices in international market.
Currently, the spot iron ore prices have surged by around US$16/ton to US$130ton.
At the same time, the steel prices increased in the international market. Also, the Chinese steelmakers hiked the steel wire prices by RMB30~RMB120/ton recently.
However, as the current market demand still remains weak, CSC might remain its prices for steel bars and wires unchanged for September.
