Sainsbury's, Argos and Amazon also took home the gongs at the annual retailer awards earlier this week.
Online retailer Shop Direct emerged as the big winner at this year’s Retail Week Awards 2016, taking the gong home in no less than three categories.
The team was one of three toy retailers to scoop a win at the annual Awards event that took place at Grosvenor House in London this week, joining the likes of Sainsbury’s and Argos on the main stage.
During the event, Shop Direct was named Pure-Play Etailer of the Year, while it also scooped the award in the Retail Technology Initiative of the Year category for its recent work with SAS.
The online platform finished its winning run as it was named Retailer of the Year category, a final feather in its cap.
Meanwhile, Sainsbury’s was applauded in the Marketing/Advertising Campaign of the Year category, Argos found itself at the winning end of the Supply Chain Initiative of the Year category and Amazon was named the International Retailer of the Year.
