According to statistics released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), Turkey’s imports of steel flat products totaled 3 million tons in the first half of this year, rising by 25.6% year on year.
In the given period of time, the country’s import revenues generated by steel flat products totaled US$2 billion, increasing by 12.8% in comparison of the figures in the same period of a year ago.
In June alone, Turkey’s import of steel flats totaled 496,435 tons, up by 8.6% from a month ago and increasing by 10.1% year on year.
