LED packaging house Everlight Electronics had consolidated revenues of NT$2.410 billion (US$80.3 million) for August 2013 hitting a monthly record for the second consecutive time with on-month growth of 10.13% and on-year growth of 33.96%, according to the company.
Everlight posted January-August consolidated revenues of NT$15.518 billion, growing on year by 25.55%.
The record consolidated revenues for August were partly due to revenue contributions from its wholly-owned Germany-based subsidiary WOFI Leuchten GmbH which was acquired in July 2013, Everlight indicated.
Everlight is optimistic about its operations in the fourth quarter as demand for LED backlighting from mobile terminal devices has been quite strong and orders for backlight units from LCD TV vendors are expected to significantly increase in November, the company said.
In addition, Everlight has begun small-volume shipments of LED headlights, taillights, brake lights and other car-use LED products to clients in the US, Europe, Japan, China and Taiwan, the company indicated. For LED lighting, Everlight has been tapping the US, Europe, Japan, China and Taiwan markets, the company noted.
