Display specialist, Ginsbury, has announced a new distribution agreement with US based touch screen manufacturer, Ocular. It will supply Ocular's Crystal Touch: True Multi-Touch projected capacitive (PCAP) touch screens in the UK and Ireland.
Designed to combine optical clarity, durability and scratch resistance, Crystal Touch panels are ideal for user interface applications with their industrial look, bezel-free, touch interface. PCAP touch panels are also claimed to perform more reliably for longer than resistive touch panels because they register the capacitive effects produced when a finger or stylus touches the panel, not the physical deformation of the panel itself. Standard Crystal Touch panels are available with or without an optically bonded soda-lime cover glass.
