Held Once Again in Fully Booked Venue with Extended Exhibition Space

Held once again in a fully booked venue with extended exhibition space THE GALLERY DÜSSELDORF drew to a close on 4 February 2013. Just fewer than 230 collections from 15 countries presented trends for the 2013/14 autumn/Winter season on 5,000 square metres. For the second time now this trade fair format staged at the centrally located Botschaft embassy on Cecilienallee in Düsseldorf provided a communicative meeting point for the industry during the most important order days of the season.

This means the new platform for individual contemporary fashion, designer wear and accessories has become an established event for the sector and a firm fixture for the fashion landscape. The organisers were satisfied across the board with how the trade fair went.

Summing up Philipp Kronen, Managing Partner of Igedo Company said: “We had a strong and successful trade fair. Our attendance expectations have been exceeded and we succeeded in welcoming all the important customers. As good as half the buyers came from abroad this time. Especially for buyers from

Russia and Eastern Europe but also from Italy, France and the Netherlands our trade fair is an attractive order platform.”

“We have been at the Botschaft for the second time now and this is precisely the right venue for our outfit. Buyers have concluded important deals for orders here and been on the lookout for new labels. This fuelled dynamism was noticeably at the location,” adds Project Director Elke Sautter.

Designer Kirsten Nör kicked off the season for her brand NÖR DENMARK at THE GALLERY BERLIN for the third time now and for the first time also at THE GALLERY DÜSSELDORF: “We already took many orders in Berlin. Düsseldorf is also a very important destination for us. Our exhibition stand was packed at all times and many buyers placed their orders with us. Most of our visitors came from Russia but we also registered customers from Great Britain, the Netherlands, Switzerland and the USA. Thanks to the pleasant atmosphere and cheerful people working is wonderfully relaxed here. We will definitely be back again next time!”

The French label LES FILLES D‘AILLEURS also featured as a newcomer. Designer Gabriela Lissilour was enthusiastic: “We were all taken by surprise by our success here at the trade fair and the many orders taken. Especially the German market is very important for us and we have met exactly the right kind of buyers here. International buyers, of course, also called on us. All in all the trade fair was very well attended, particularly on Sunday. We will definitely be back in summer. Düsseldorf really is where the business deals are done!”

THE GALLERY DÜSSELDORF was organized under the umbrella brand of CPD (Collections Premieren Düsseldorf), which comprises all the trade fairs, events and showrooms on the key order dates in the city. The Fashion Net Shuttle service supports networking and transported dealers to the Botschaft and all other important fashion venues and order centers in greater Düsseldorf. What’s more, visitors were also invited to use the exclusive THE GALLERY Fashion Shuttle Service.

The next event at the Botschaftis THE LITTLE GALLERY. From 7 to 9 July 2013 the Igedo Company will be launching this new order platform for children’s fashion in Düsseldorf. Shortly afterwards, from 19 to 22 July 2013 THE GALLERY DÜSSELDORF will run for the third time as part of CPD.
