According to data released by Brazil Steel Institute (IABr), Brazil’s exports of steel products totaled 543,600 tons in June, slumping by 31.5% year on year.
The export revenues generated by steel products totaled US$386 million in June, decreasing by 36.8% year on year.
In the first half of this year, Brazil’s exports of steel products amounted to 4.4 million tons, falling by 14.4% year on year. In the given period of time, the export revenues of steel products were at US$3 billion, decreasing by 19.9% year on year.
Meanwhile, Brazil’s crude steel output totaled 17 million tons in the first half of this year, decreasing by 2.2% year on year.
In January-June, the country’s production of rolled steel products was at 12.9 million tons, up slightly by 0.9% year on year.
