Mettler-Toledo has introduced XE 100 CC Compact,a product inspection machine integrating checkweighing and metal detection capability,for bulk food producersat the FachPack 2012 trade show in Nuremberg,Germany.
XE 100 CC Compact model is meant for those food manufacturers who need to combine both functions on one single conveyor,reported Foodnavigator.com.
According to the company,the equipment can inspect up to 80 products,ranging in sizes up to 60kg per package,in one minute.Products that do not fall within this weight range are stopped on the conveyor and an alarm is triggered.
XE 100 CC Compact model offers a metal free zone of 150mm for non-movable parts and 300mm for movable parts.
Mettler-Toledo Garvens marketing manager Kerstin Bernhart was quoted by Foodnavigator as saying that the system overcomes space constraint issues and offers efficiency,which are necessary to manufacturers concerned with regulatory compliance and consumer safety.
