Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center, a member of the Providence Health & Services, has installed Talyst's pharmacy automation including AutoPharm, three AutoCarousel and AutoLabel for inventory control and improved patient safety.
By using AutoCarousel, the Medical Center is able to consolidate its drug inventory in a compact footprint, while AutoLabel has improved patient safety by barcoding and labeling all medications, ensuring virtually 100% of medications are scan-ready at the bedside.
Talyst chief executive officer Carla Corkern said, "Our products help our customers minimize storage footprint, and increase efficiencies within the pharmacy."
Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center and Children's Hospital pharmacy informatics manager John Woon said Talyst's pharmacy automation has improved the company's inventory control and processes.
"Sacred Medical is now more efficient and has better control of our drug inventories, while ensuring patient safety," Woon added.
