Taiwan-based LED makers have reported mixed results for November, with Epistar, Edison Opto, Wellypower, Bright LED, and Ledtech Optoelectronics posting sequential revenue gains for the month, and Everlight Electronics, Unity Opto and Lextar seeing sequential declines. Epistar reported November revenues of NT$1.293 billion (US$43 million), a 2.7% on-month increase and 22% on-year decrease. Epistar indicated that orders in December are likely to be lower than November. Edison Opto's November revenues reached NT$200 million, a 11.1% sequential increase and 6.55% on-year decrease. The accumulated revenues from January-November reached NT$2.29 billion, representing an 18.5% decrease on year. Edison Opto stated that shipments have been stable and November performance met expectations. December performance will likely demonstrate some growth, added Edison Opto. Wellypower Optronics reported November revenues of NT$715 million, up 8.7% on month but down 11.4% on year. Bright LED reported November revenues of NT$316 million, meeting expectations. November revenues showed a 7.5% sequential increase. Bright LED expects December orders to achieve a similar level to November's. Ledtech showed the largest sequential increase among peers. Ledtech's November revenues reached NT$137 million, compared with NT$88.77 million in October, November revenues showed an increase of 55% on month. Ledtech indicated the significant risee was caused by delayed orders in October that were pushed to November. Ledtech anticipates December revenues to show sequential growth as well. LED packaging house Everlight reported November revenues of NT$1.337 million, a slight 0.88% decrease on month. Everlight expects December revenues to be flat. Unity Opto reported flat revenues from lighting products, but due to the low season for infrared products, November revenues were only NT$351 million, a 2.78% on-month decrease. Lextar reported falling November revenues as well. Lextar's November revenues were NT$810 million, representing an 8.2% decrease rom October.
