Global independent toy firm is looking to expand in the RC sector, an 'important category' to its growth plans.
Goliath has acquired the leading French RC developer, manufacturer and distributor, Modelco.
Known for its portfolio of drones, quadcopters, boats, vehicles and helicopters as well as products such as the Sky Roller and Fly Balls, Modelco won the Gran Prix de Jouet in 2014, it first year on the market.
Goliath has acquired the firm as it looks to expand its activity in what is billed as an ‘important category’ to the firm.
“With the success of our Flying Dragon, the acquisition of Modelco expands our reach into an important toy category,” said Adi Golad, founder of Goliath.
“The combination of Modelco’s know how and Goliath’s product development, production, marketing and distribution strength means we can expand Modelco’s business on a global scale.”
