Mimaki to Exhibit Digital Print-and-Cut Solutions at Labelexpo Europe 2017

Mimaki is set to showcase a range of advanced digital print and cut solutions for short-run and customised labels and packaging at this year’s Labelexpo Europe event.

The event will take place from 25 to 28 September in Brussels, Belgium.

At the event, the company will showcase UJF-7151plus printer that will be used for direct printing on rigid substrates to create nameplates suitable for industrial marking or placarding.

The small laser-cutting device, along with the printer, can be used to cut rigid labels to finished product.

The UJF-7151plus is a compact UV LED direct- to-object printer that can provide a print resolution of up to 1200 dpi. It features a 710 x 510 mm printable area and uses white and clear inks plus primer.

Mimaki will also exhibit print and cut specialised labels using silver that use silver ink. The CJV150 Series integrated printer/cutter solutions can be used with vibrant ink types, including silver, orange and light black, for label printing applications.

With a resolution of up to 1440 dpi and speeds of up to 56.2m², the solvent ink printer can be used in any label converting operation.

Mimaki’s UJF-6042MkII flatbed LED UV printer has a maximum print area of 610 x 420mm and developed for use in direct-to-corrugated printing applications.

It can also be used for other labels and packaging applications, in addition to creating signs, displays and other graphically rich applications.

In addition, the firm will exhibit Kebab option, which is a direct-to-object 360º printing solution. It can be used for printing on glass and plastic bottles with the support of Mimaki UJF-3042MkII flatbed LED UV printer.

Mimaki Europes sales general manager Ronald Van den Broek said: “Brands are increasingly looking for ways to differentiate labels and packaging for better market performance.

“While this is an effective approach for brands, it can put strain on conventional labels and packaging workflows due to the shorter runs and faster time to market these strategies demand.”
