US-based rigid packaging company TricorBraun has acquired rigid packaging distributor Packaging Design Group for undisclosed amount.
Packaging Design Group offers packaging distribution services from design and product sourcing to component manufacturing and warehousing.
Packaging Design Group founding partner Kenneth Gillman said: "TricorBraun has an excellent reputation, like us, for being very focused on serving our customers.
"Being part of a like-minded organization the size of TricorBraun will present opportunities and advantages for our current customers."
Upon completion of the deal, Packaging Design Group will continue to operate under its current name. It will also become a division of TricorBraun, a portfolio company of private equity firm CHS Capital.
Packaging Design Group founding partner Peter Kallman said: "We bring a unique expertise particularly in the nutraceutical, pharmaceutical and healthcare markets that should create opportunities for TricorBraun as well. It's a great fit all around."
Additionally, Packaging Design Group will have immediate access to all of the resources and the options that TricorBraun provides.
TricorBraun president and CEO Keith Strope said: "The Packaging Design Group extensive knowledge and experience along with their customer service focus are what make them so attractive.
"The wholly-owned UK subsidiary, Packaging Design Limited, is also part of the deal and strengthens our presence in Europe."
TricorBraun focuses on packaging for personal care, healthcare, household and industrial chemicals, food, wine and more.
In 2015, TricorBraun announced it has expanded warehousing and distribution capabilities in North America with three new regional centers.
