United World Foods Is Recalling Frozen Oyster Products Due to Potential Norovirus

United World Foods, a seafood company based in New Zealand, is recalling frozen oyster products due to the potential presence of norovirus.

Norovirus, which is not typically life-threatening, can cause nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and stomach cramping.

The products being recalled are 1kg bags of Sea Cuisine Frozen Oyster Meat; Sea Cuisine Frozen Battered Oysters; Sea Cuisine Frozen Crumbed Oysters; Sea Cuisine Frozen Floured Oysters. The recall also includes 500g bag of Sea Cuisine Frozen Japanese Crumbed Oysters.

These products were sold in smaller retail and wholesale food outlets throughout New Zealand.

United World Foods has asked consumers not to consume all Sea Cuisine Frozen Oyster Products. Customers can return the product to their retailer for a full refund.
