Propasa, a Mexican board producer, has selected Voith to rebuild its PM 3 in a bid to increase production by up to 25% to manufacture nearly 500mt of board daily.
The first part of the project included the supply of a MasterJet Pro F/B headbox with ModuleJet II dilution control as well as the rebuild of the forming section, which included a DuoShake that allows for the paper web formation homogeneity.
The dryer section was rebuilt in the second step.
For the steam and condensate, lubrication, ventilation and vacuum systems, Propasa also used the basic engineering services of Voith.
In the second phase, two dryer sections have been added to the machine, increasing its speed.
