American Softwood Exports to The Mena Region in 2011 Hit a Record $18 Million Worth

American softwood exports to the Mena region in 2011 hit a record $18 million worth, prompting the participation of American Softwoods (AMSO) in an upcoming major wood and wood machinery show in Dubai. The sixth edition of the Dubai International Wood and Wood Machinery Show (Dubai WoodShow) will be held from April 3 to 5 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre. According to the latest data released by the US Department of Agriculture (USDA), the total value of American softwood exports to the MENA region for the period of January to December 2011 grew to $18.09 million, which represented a nine per cent increase over the previous year.
