The new sports car is a parallel full hybrid, powered by a 4.6-litre V8 mid-engine with dry-sump lubrication and two electric motors at the rear and front axles electric motor, which collectively deliver an output of 770hp.

Power for the electric motor of new two-seater Spyder is provided by a 6.8 kWh Lithium-ion battery pack which provides a maximum power of 202 kW.

Porsche said that the new sports car will offer a combined top speed of 325 km/h, with 150 km/h in purely electric mode, while consuming 3.0 litres of fuel per 100km which is equivalent to 70g of CO2 per km.

The monocoque, featuring carbon fibre reinforced polymer (CFRP), cuts weight of the car and delivers enhanced rigidity and precision, the company said.

Porsche and the Martini brand, represented by Switzerland based Bacardi & Company, have collaborated for developing this new sports car.
