Utisa, which since the end of 2008 has been wholly owned by Finsa, aims to permanently close down MDF production at the Cella plant trading as Intamasa. The production line, which was originally commissioned in 1977 and is equipped with a multi-opening press from Washington Iron Works (WIW) designed for an annual capacity of roughly 120, 000 m³, was the oldest MDF line still in operation in Europe. Intamasa only operated the line continuously until 2008; In recent years it had increasingly frequently been operated only intermittently. Source: euwid-wood-products.com
