Torch Apparel, the company behind the recent and successful Torch bicycle helmet Kickstarter, has released its newest LED-equipped bike-friendly accessory, the FLUX backpack. The waterproof pack features a removable USB-powered LED that illuminates a fiber-optic panel for situations when you may want to be more visible, like riding a bike. A button in the backpack's shoulder strap turns the light on and off and toggles it between steady and flashing modes.
The backpack, available in either black or red, is made out of durable nylon and vinyl and, according to Torch, is completely waterproof. The LED light can be re-charged via USB and will last between two and five hours, depending if it's set to steady or flashing. The LED can also be removed and used as a stand-alone rear-mounted bicycle light.
The FLUX is available for pre-order at the introductory price of $120. Regular price will be $180.
