The second production facility is expected to begin its operations by end of 2013 and will manufacture small-sized vehicles which include Jazz and hybrid vehicles.

According to Honda, the new production line will have an annual production capacity of 50,000 units, which will double the carmaker's overall production capacity to 100,000 units from the current 50,000 units with the first line.

HMSB is planning to start local production of hybrid vehicles through the existing production line by the end of 2012 to support its plan to sell 10,000 hybrid units in 2012.

Prior to the construction of the second production line, HMSB had expanded its test course and Pre-delivery Inspection (PDI) site along with the unveiling of a new welding facility to the existing line.
