'Textang II' Textile Manufacturing Unit Situated In Angola Will Start Functioning In 2013

‘Textang II’ textile manufacturing unit situated in Angola, a country located in the southern part of Africa, will start functioning by December 2013. 
 
Angolan Minister of Industry, Bernarda Henriques da Silva, said the Luanda-based textile unit will generate 756 direct jobs, once it becomes operational by the end of next year.
 
She said the first phase of the trial for the production unit would commence in December 2012. 
 
The main objective of the trial would be to check assembled equipments and other maintenance works. She said several Angolan experts are being trained for the purpose.
 
The Minister said the first phase of the restoration work of the textile unit Textang II will cost an estimated Angolan Kwanza 23.5 billion.
 
During her visit to the Textang II textile factory, she stated that the restoration work is in progress and the deadlines are being fulfilled. 
 
According to her, the restoration work of the textile company will be completed towards the end of April 2013 and infrastructure would be ready by November or December.
 
The restoration of the Angolan textile sector started in 2007-2008 by the Government aims to restore all textile units across the country.
