On December 23, 2013, Beiben Annual Business Conference 2014 is grandly held in Baotou, Inner Mongolia. At the conference, Beiben releases the sales data in 2013: by November 25, 2013, Beiben sells 15745 units in total, 14326 units of which are sold in China and 1419 units abroad. The sales volume is expected to be 17,000 units for the whole year. Compared with 2012, the sales of dumpers decline a little big while the sales of tractors are up by 5.82% and cargo trucks are up by 20.62%.
The suspension of quarrying in some places like Inner Mongolia expert much impact on Beiben dumpers. On the other hand, however, it sees a good result in logistic vehicles in Zhejiang, Hubei, Shanghai and Guangdong. Its latest V3M, designed exclusively for logistic transport vehicles, gets good feedback from users and achieve initial recognition from the market after trial sale in Hebei province. It is predicted to launch to the market in a large scale entering 2014. In addition, the robust growth of gas vehicle brings a lot of vitality to Beiben. In 2013, the sales volume of gas truck totals 1669 units, up by 14.2% year on year.
In 2014, the heavy truck industry will usher in a sound opportunity under the guide of favorable policies such as urbanization and rapid development of logistics industry. The heavy truck market is expected to be 700,000 units in 2014. Hence, Beiben sets up a sales target of 25,000 units, 22,000 in China, including 6,800 units of tractors (31%), 8,800 units of dumpers (40%), gas trucks 2,400 units (11%), special vehicle and cargo trucks (9%).
General Manager of Beiben Marketing Company Shao Jingkun delivers a keynote report in which he discloses that Beiben will make adjustment in all respects including dealer network, market, brand, service and finance in order to fulfill the sales target for 2014.
