A staggering amount of preparation is made in positioning a professional football team for a championship run. Anything that elevates an athlete's performance immediately becomes a strong consideration.
With that in mind, the Chicago Bears are leaving nothing to chance off the field as they prepare for a promising 2014 season on the field. The team has partnered with Tempur-Pedic to provide their players with quality, restorative sleep during their rigorous training camp.
"Our success hinges on the performance of our players, so we look for every edge in their training," said Chris Hibbs, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Chicago Bears. "Tempur-Pedic is a leading company with premier products steeped in science. Our shared exacting standards make this a logical and special partnership."
Tempur-Pedic mattresses were delivered to the Bears training camp at Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais, Ill. Once camp is finished, the company will donate the beds to be used in the dormitories at the University. So while Tempur-Pedic is the proud mattress provider for the Bears, the company also hopes Olivet Nazarene University students will see a performance benefit from improved sleep.
"We are delighted to provide the Chicago Bears players with Tempur-Pedic mattresses, and help deliver the uniquely deep, restorative sleep we know is required to perform at the highest level," said Patrice Varni, senior vice president of brand marketing, Tempur Sealy North America, LLC. "And we're thrilled that Olivet Nazarene students will also benefit from these same products. Whether the challenge is on the gridiron or in the classroom, we know our mattresses help people get the very best night's sleep, so they wake ready to perform and 'tackle' whatever the day might bring."
Tempur-Pedic offers every sleeper personalized comfort thanks to TEMPUR material, which adapts to support the body's unique shape, weight and temperature. Pressure points in areas such as shoulders and heels are reduced, resulting in less tossing and turning. Plus, heavier areas sink in further, while lighter areas sink in less. This even support ensures better alignment, so sleepers can fully relax and achieve deeper rest.
