Taiwan's Iron and Steel Export Value Down 1.96 Percent to $17.36 Billion in 2013

In December last year, the value of Taiwan's iron and steel exports increased by 5.58 percent year on year and by 11.18 compared to November to $1.48 billion, according to the preliminary statistics issued by Taiwan's Ministry of Finance. In the same month, the country's iron and steel import value totaled $929.4 million, down 1.24 percent year on year and decreasing by 0.51 percent month on month.

In 2013, the value of Taiwan's iron and steel exports was down 1.96 percent to $17.36 billion, while the value of the country's imports of iron and steel totaled $11.22 billion, down 8.98 percent, both on year-on year basis.
