300,000 tons of extra-viscous oil (EVO) have been produced at Ashalchinskoye field of JSC TATNEFT since the beginning of its development. The planned production of EVO for 2013 amounts to 145 thousand tons.
Development of Ashalchinskoye field is carried out by "Nurlatneft" Oil and Gas Production Board of JSC TATNEFT. The target of the Company's commercial extra-viscous oil deposit development is Sheshminsky horizon of the Cheremshano-Bastrykskaya zone Ufimian Stage. The daily production at the EVO Ashalchinskoye field is 515 - 520 tons. 24 well pairs and 5 huff and puff wells have been drilled as of November 2013 and 19 pairs of horizontal wells are in operation.
The management of JSC TATNEFT sets an ambitious task to accelerate drilling-out operations at the EVO fields. The Company has worked out a business project for the development of Ashalchinskoye EVO field till 2030.
A vast set of technical activities including construction of gas and heat supply systems as well as the facilities of production, treatment and transportation of viscous oil has been carried out for implementation of the tasks set.
Currently, the works are in the stage of completion for the expansion of the boiler room, where additional 4 boilers of 25 tons of steam per hour capacity each will be put into operation in the near future. After starting the second phase of the boiler plant its total capacity will be 150 tons of steam per hour.
Commissioning operations of the new gas line have also been completed, 26 km of "Yusupkino - Ashalchi" water pipeline have been built, the construction of KNS- 6A is continued and they have began construction of the foundation for expanding the extra-viscous oil treatment plant. The work is underway to expand and upgrade substation No. 207. All the mentioned works are scheduled for completion by the New Year.
