Megadyne Medical Products, an electrosurgical products company, and Ethicon Endo-Surgery Energy business have entered into a collaboration agreement to provide customers greater choice and access to high-quality monopolar, bipolar, advanced bipolar and advanced ultrasonic energy innovations.
Pursuant to the terms of the agreement, Megadyne and Ethicon will offer contracting solutions for customers in the US that will increase choice and access to a broad energy portfolio across multiple energy platforms, from monopolar and standard bipolar currently offered by Megadyne to advanced bipolar and ultrasonic currently offered by Ethicon.
This collaboration allows greater choice of energy solutions for customers to simplify their inventory management.
In addition, the collaboration also allows the two companies to offer increased value through flexible contracting solutions, capital trade-out programs, product and supplier standardization and environmentally friendly solutions.
Ethicon Energy business worldwide president Michelle Brennan noted their companies share a common vision to advance surgery and improve patient outcomes through high quality standards, intuitive to use products and a customer solutions mindset.
