Huawei has announced plans to launch a wider range of wearables in 2015, including its first Android Wear smartwatch.
Having introduced the hybrid activity tracker turn Bluetooth headset – the Huawei B1 TalkBand – last year, the Chinese manufacturer has revealed plans to broaden its approach on the blossoming wearables space.
“We will launch a series of new wearable devices this year,” Ada Xu Huawei’s Global Director of Public Relations said addressing TrustedReviews at the company’s headquarters in Shenzhen, China.
She added: “Wearables were a hot topic at CES. Maybe it will be a hot topic again at Mobile World Congress.”
With Huawei presenting us with a slide of its future plans, including images of an as yet unannounced Android Wear smartwatch, Xu clarified: “The smartwatch we haven’t released yet. Our wearables will launch at Mobile World Congress.”
