Sales Surge Follows The MID-Life Update and Range Restructure Introduced in November 2011

The Renault Koleos range has been bolstered with the addition of the Privilege diesel variant to the top of the line-up.

Priced from $45,490, the Renault Koleos Privilege diesel costs just $500 more than the equivalent petrol model, and $6500 more than the only other diesel in the range, the mid-spec Dynamique.

Renault Australia says the introduction of the diesel-powered Koleos Privilege is a direct reaction to customers asking for a top-specification oil-burner.

The Koleos Privilege diesel teams a 110kW/320Nm 2.0-litre engine with a continuously variable transmission (CVT) that sends drive to all four wheels. The flagship model consumes 7.6 litres per 100km on the combined cycle.

The Koleos Privilege comes standard with 18-inch alloy wheels (with full-size alloy spare), automatic bi-xenon headlights, rain-sensing wipers, front and rear parking sensors, keyless entry and push-button start, leather upholstery, cruise control with speed limiter, dual-zone climate control, satellite navigation, and a seven-speaker audio system with subwoofer.

Renault Koleos sales have almost doubled in 2012. To the end of October, 847 have been sold across Australia, up from 445 over the same period in 2011. The sales surge follows the mid-life update and range restructure introduced in November 2011.
