Certain Harris Teeter Products Have Been Recalled by Whole Alternatives

Whole Alternatives is recalling six ounce packages of Harris Teeter brand dried apricots and eight ounce packages of dried golden raisins as they contain sulphur dioxide that is not mentioned on the ingredients label, according to the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

The recalled dried apricots and dried golden raisins were distributed in Harris Teeter stores.

The apricots packages bearing UPC code 7203670494 and raisins with UPC code 7203670490 and all lot codes and dates are affected by this recall.

There have been no reported reactions associated with the consumption of these recalled products.

Sulphur dioxide is one of several types of sulfites used to preserve foods, and the US FDA requires that the presence of sulphur dioxide in foods be declared on the product label.

Customers intolerant to sulphur dioxide are advised not to consume these recalled products as it may result in serious or life threatening reaction and are urged to return it to the place of purchase.
