Office solutions provider Grand & Toy said that it has made available its reusable environmentally responsible shipping solution across Canada.
Boomerang Box, which was launched after a successful pilot program, is projected to decrease box consumption by 80% among participating businesses.
The box, which has been designed by the company in collaboration with Norampac, a Quebec-based packaging manufacturer, is said to have been made from 63% post-consumer recycled material.
Presence of a stackable design to minimize storage space needs along with the corrugated material allows Grand & Toy to reuse Boomerang Boxes for an average of six to 10 delivery cycles with proper use, said the Canada-based company.
Grand & Toy US & Canada marketing vice president Kevin Edwards said the success of the Boomerang Box pilot demonstrates that Canadian organizations are serious about their commitment to sustainability.
"The Boomerang Box is just one of many Grand & Toy initiatives designed to help our customers lessen their environmental footprint," added Edwards.
