Russia-based pipe producing company United Metallurgical Company (OMK) has stated that it plans to decrease steel pipe production in 2013 by six percent compared to 2012 to 1.5 million mt. Meanwhile, the situation is expected to improve in 2014 thanks to the start of new projects of Russian gas monopoly Gazprom, such as Southern Corridor, Power of Siberia and South Stream.
