GP PRO, a division of Georgia-Pacific Consumer Products, is showcasing its new, advanced dispensing solution at the 2017 National Restaurant Association (NRA) show.
The Dixie Ultra SmartStock Automated Napkin System is designed to elevate patron dining experience and to reduce operational costs through portion control and logistics efficiency at limited service restaurants.
GP PRO’s research claims that about 82% of LSR employees say that waste is an issue and the same number are concerned about keeping items, surfaces and floors clean and germ-free to prevent food contamination.
GP PRO’s brand Dixie’s portfolio of solutions can reduce operator anxieties across food service facilities by reducing wastage and improving hygiene at major touchpoints in restaurants.
The Dixie Ultra SmartStock Automated Napkin Machine will reduce waste by dispensing either operator selected or pre-set number of napkins per patron or order size. The solution is expected to bring benefits to food service facility owners, operators and maintainers.
The automated napkin system enables food service facilities to control napkin portions, reduce total napkin usage by up to 40%, resulting in lower napkin spend.
As the napkin dispensing system has fewer touch points, it is expected to reduce napkin or dispenser contamination.
The system is easy to operate and maintain, improves patron satisfaction through its cohesive design an elevated look.

Another product being showcased by Dixie will be the new Dixie Ultra SmartStock Wrapped Cutlery Dispenser, which delivers cutlery wrapped only at the eating end and dispenses one utensil at a time.
The product's design is claimed to remove about 60% of plastic wrapping of typical wrapped cutlery, while protecting the end of the utensil.
