Declearing New Packaging Portal for Retailers by Trace One

European e-collaborative solutions provider Trace One has announced the latest version of its Packaging Portal, which has been designed to help retailers revise their packaging specifications within the framework of the new European regulations on food labeling.

Additional information pertaining to energy value and the amount of certain nutrients such as fat, saturated fat, carbohydrates, sugar and salt needs to be included on food product packaging, under the new regulations.

The regulations also require labeling of each product consistently by the distributors, which can lead to the revision of a number of different product packaging.

The portal adds the capability to manage long-rang product lines and enables distributors to speed up major projects development, besides reducing time to market by 20%. It addresses the management of long range products and allows retailers to increase productivity and reduce delays that occur in the design phase of the product.

Packaging Portal manages the collaborative design process for all product categories and enables retailers to make amendments to various references within the same project.

The retailers can duplicate some or all of the steps when creating product references and save time in the packaging creation process, which works across different products that must be tracked simultaneously.

Packaging Portal helps designers to manage multiple projects using the same resources, by enabling retailers to review the packaging details of all their products through proofing tools and integrated web collaboration, Trace One claimed.
