Federal-Mogul has signed an agreement with motor vehicle parts and systems maker BorgWarner BERU Systems to serve as global independent aftermarket distributor of the BERU ignition products.
Under the agreement, Federal-Mogul will sell and distribute the BERU ignition products, including gasoline ignition components, sensors, glow plugs and diesel cold start systems in the automotive aftermarket.
Additionally, the two companies will work together to integrate the existing BERU Systems aftermarket distribution networks within Federal-Mogul.
BorgWarner BERU Systems will continue to manufacture and sell the ignition products under the BERU brand.
The company said the new agreement, which will be effective on 1 January 2013, is subjected to regulatory approvals.
Federal-Mogul designs, engineers, manufactures and distributes technologies to improve fuel economy, reduce emissions and enhance vehicle safety.
It also serves as the original equipment manufacturer of automotive, commercial, aerospace, marine, rail and off-road vehicles and industrial, agricultural and power-generation equipment.
